Direction: Study the following graph which shows the production (in thousand) of different items, and answer the questions.

1. The difference between the total number of CD and pen-drives produced by the company together in the year 2008 and the number of keyboards produced by the company in the year 2006 is

1. From the given bar diagram , we see
Number of CD produced by the company in 2008 = 25000
Number of pen-drives produced by the company in 2008 = 30000
Total number of CD and pen-drives produced by the company in 2008 = 25000 + 30000 = 55000
Number of keyboards produced by the company in the year 2006 = 15000
Required difference = Total number of CD and pen-drives produced by the company in 2008 - Number of keyboards produced by the company in the year 2006

Correct Option: D

From the given bar diagram , we see
Number of CD produced by the company in 2008 = 25000
Number of pen-drives produced by the company in 2008 = 30000
Total number of CD and pen-drives produced by the company in 2008 = 25000 + 30000 = 55000
Number of keyboards produced by the company in the year 2006 = 15000
Required difference = Total number of CD and pen-drives produced by the company in 2008 - Number of keyboards produced by the company in the year 2006
∴ Required difference = 55000 - 15000 = 40000

1. The average number of pen drives produced by the company over all the years together is

1. On the basis of given graph in question ,
Total number of pen drives produced by the company = ( 15 + 7.5 + 15 + 30 + 17.5 ) × 1000 = 85000
Number of given years = 5

Average number of pen drives = Total number of pen drives produced by the company Number of given years

Correct Option: C

On the basis of given graph in question ,
Total number of pen drives produced by the company = ( 15 + 7.5 + 15 + 30 + 17.5 ) × 1000 = 85000
Number of given years = 5

Average number of pen drives = Total number of pen drives produced by the company Number of given years

 Average number of pen drives = 85000 = 17000 5

1. The total number of all products produced by the company in the year 2006 and 2008 together is

1. According to given bar graph , we have
Total number of all products produced in 2006 = ( 10 + 7.5 + 15 ) × 1000 = 32.5 × 1000 = 32500
Total number of all products produced in 2008 = ( 25 + 30 + 20 ) × 1000 = 75 × 1000 = 75000

Correct Option: A

According to given bar graph , we have
Total number of all products produced in 2006 = ( 10 + 7.5 + 15 ) × 1000 = 32.5 × 1000 = 32500
Total number of all products produced in 2008 = ( 25 + 30 + 20 ) × 1000 = 75 × 1000 = 75000
Total number of all products produced in 2006 and 2008 together = 32500 + 75000 = 107500

Direction: Study the bar diagram and answer the given questions.

1. Average marks obtained by the students for all subjects in second term is

1. On the basis of given graph in question ,
Total marks obtained by the students for all subjects in second term = 80 + 80 + 75 + 65 + 60 = 360
Number of the given subjects = 5

Required average = Total marks obtained by the students in second term Number of the given subjects

Correct Option: D

On the basis of given graph in question ,
Total marks obtained by the students for all subjects in second term = 80 + 80 + 75 + 65 + 60 = 360
Number of the given subjects = 5

Required average = Total marks obtained by the students in second term Number of the given subjects

 Required average = 360 = 72 5

1. Ratio of highest and lowest marks obtained in first term among all the subjects is

1. According to given bar graph , we have
Highest marks obtained in first term subject = 100 ( Math )
Lowest marks obtained in first term subject = 70 ( English )
Required ratio = Highest marks obtained in first term subject : Lowest marks obtained in first term subject

Correct Option: C

According to given bar graph , we have
Highest marks obtained in first term subject = 100 ( Math )
Lowest marks obtained in first term subject = 70 ( English )
Required ratio = Highest marks obtained in first term subject : Lowest marks obtained in first term subject
Required ratio = 100 : 70 = 10 : 7
