On the basis of given graph in question ,
The expenditure on the interest on loans = 17.5%
The expenditure on the interest on transport = 12.5%
    Change in expenditure = 17.5 - 12.5 = 5

    Required percentage
    =
    Change in expenditure
The expenditure on the interest on transport

    Required percentage = 5 × 100
    12.5

    Correct Option: B

The expenditure on the interest on transport = 12.5%
    Change in expenditure = 17.5 - 12.5 = 5

    Required percentage
    =
    Change in expenditure
The expenditure on the interest on transport

    Required percentage = 5 × 100
    12.5

    Required percentage =

  1. If the interest on loans amounted to $ 2.45 billions, then the total amount of expenditure on advertisement, taxes and research and development is equal to

  1. View Hint View Answer Discuss in Forum

From the given bar graph , we see
Percentage expenditure on loans = 17.5%
    Percentage expenditure on advertisement, taxes and research and development = (15 + 10 + 5)% = 30%
    ∵ 17.5% ≡ $ 2.45 billion

    ∴ 30% =
    2.45
    × 30
    17.5

    Correct Option: C

From the given bar graph , we see
Percentage expenditure on loans = 17.5%
    Percentage expenditure on advertisement, taxes and research and development = (15 + 10 + 5)% = 30%
    ∵ 17.5% ≡ $ 2.45 billion

    ∴ 30% =
    2.45
    × 30
    17.5

    Required answer = $ 4.2 billion

  1. The ratio of the total expenditure on infrastructure and transport to the total expenditure on taxes and interest on loans is

  1. View Hint View Answer Discuss in Forum

According to given bar graph , we have
    The total expenditure on infrastructure and transport = 20 + 12.5 = 32.5%
The total expenditure on taxes and interest on loans = 10 + 17.5 = 27.5%
Required ratio = The total expenditure on infrastructure and transport : The total expenditure on taxes and interest on loans

    Correct Option: B

According to given bar graph , we have
    The total expenditure on infrastructure and transport = 20 + 12.5 = 32.5%
The total expenditure on taxes and interest on loans = 10 + 17.5 = 27.5%
Required ratio = The total expenditure on infrastructure and transport : The total expenditure on taxes and interest on loans
    ∴ Required ratio = 32.5 : 27.5 = 13 : 11

  1. If the expenditure on advertisement is $ 2.10 crores, then the difference between the expenditure on transport and taxes is equal to

  1. View Hint View Answer Discuss in Forum

On the basis of given graph in question ,
    Difference of percentage expenditure on transportation and taxes = 12.5 – 10 = 2.5%
Percent of expenditure on advertisement = 15%
    ∵ 15% = $ 2.10 billion

    Correct Option: C

On the basis of given graph in question ,
    Difference of percentage expenditure on transportation and taxes = 12.5 – 10 = 2.5%
Percent of expenditure on advertisement = 15%
    ∵ 15% = $ 2.10 billion

    ∴ 2.5% = $ 2.10× 2.5 billion
    15

    Required answer = $ 0.35 billion
    Required answer = $ 35 million
