As per the given above table , we have
∴ Net Profit = total sales - gross profit
    Net Profit in 1990 = 54.2 lakhs
    Net Profit in 1991 = 42.6 lakhs
    Net Profit in 1992 = 38.9 lakhs
    Net Profit in 1993 = 50.3 lakhs
    Net Profit in 1994 = 65.8 lakhs

    Correct Option: A

Direction: Study the table carefully and answer the questions given below.

  1. In which year the total production of scooters of all factories was 20% of the total production of scooters during 1985-1989?

  1. View Hint View Answer Discuss in Forum

On the basis of given table in question ,
    Total production of scooters during 1985 - 1989 in thousands. = 115 + 108 + 149 + 102 + 101 = 575

    Now, 20% of 575 =
    20 × 575
    = 115
    100

    Correct Option: B

On the basis of given table in question ,
    Total production of scooters during 1985 - 1989 in thousands. = 115 + 108 + 149 + 102 + 101 = 575

    Now, 20% of 575 =
    20 × 575
    = 115
    100

It was in the year 1985.

  1. In which year, the total production of scooters was maximum?

On the basis of given table in question ,
The total production of scooters in 1985 = 115
The total production of scooters in 1986 = 108
The total production of scooters in 1987 = 149
The total production of scooters in 1988 = 102
The total production of scooters in 1989 = 101

    Correct Option: C

On the basis of given table in question ,
The total production of scooters in 1985 = 115
The total production of scooters in 1986 = 108
The total production of scooters in 1987 = 149
The total production of scooters in 1988 = 102
The total production of scooters in 1989 = 101
From above it is clear that it was maximum in the year 1987.

  1. The ratio of the production of scooters by factory P to that by factory T in 1985 is

  1. View Hint View Answer Discuss in Forum

As per the given above table , we can see
The production of scooters by factory P in 1985 = 20
The production of scooters by factory T in 1985 = 40
Required ratio = The production of scooters by factory P in 1985 : The production of scooters by factory T in 1985

    Correct Option: C

As per the given above table , we can see
The production of scooters by factory P in 1985 = 20
The production of scooters by factory T in 1985 = 40
Required ratio = The production of scooters by factory P in 1985 : The production of scooters by factory T in 1985

    Required ratio =
    20
    = 1 : 2
    40
