1. A man walks ‘a’ km in ‘b’ hours. The time taken to walk 200 metres is

1.  Man’s speed = Distance Time

 = a kmph b

 = 1000a m/hour b

∴  Time taken in walking 200 metre

S1t1 = S2t2

If the required distance be x km, then

Second Method :
Here S1 = 4, t1 = x
 S2 = 3, t2 = x + 1 2

S1t1 = S2t2
 4 × x = 3 x + 1 2

 4x – 3x = 3 x = 3 2 2

 Distance =4 × 3 = 6 kms 2
