According to question , we draw a figure of a circle with centre O ,

Here , OB = 6 cm and OA = 10 cm
∠OBA = 90°
∴ AB = √OA² - OB²
AB = √10² - 6²
AB = √100 - 36
AB = √64 = 8 cm
