According to question , we draw a figure of a circle with centre O ,

Here , AB = chord = 16 cm.
OC ⊥ AB
∴ AC = CB = 8 cm.
OC = 15 cm.
∴ OA = √OC² + CA²
OA = √15² + 8²
OA = √225 + 64 = √289 = 17 cm.
