  1. Two circles touch each other externally. The distance between their centres is 7 cm. If the radius of one circle is 4 cm, then the radius of the other circle will be
    1. 3 cm.
    2. 4 cm.
    3. 5.5 cm.
    4. 3.5 cm.
Correct Option: A

On the basis of question we draw a figure of two circles touch each other externally ,

We know that , Distance between two circles = OO' = r1 + r2 = 7 cm.
r1 = 4 cm.
∴ r2 = (7 – 4) cm. = 3 cm.
