If tanθ – cotθ = 0, find the value of sinθ

⇒ tanθ = cotθ = tan (90° – q)
⇒ θ = 90° – θ ⇒ 2θ = 90°
⇒ θ = 45°
∴ sinθ + cosθ = sin 45° + cos 45°
