Let daily wages of a man be Rs. x.
∴ Daily wages of a woman

= Rs.		x -	1
			2

According to the question,

600x + 400		x -	1
			2

= 1000 × 2.55
⇒ 600x + 400x – 200 = 2550
⇒ 1000x = 2550 + 200 = 2750

⇒ x =	2750	= Rs. 2.75
	1000

∴ Daily wages of a woman
= Rs. (2.75 – 0.5)
= Rs. 2.25
