  1. In the sequence of numbers 5, 8, 15, 20, 29, 40, 53, one number is wrong. The wrong number is

On the basis of following pattern in given series , we get
First term = 5
Second term = First term + 3 = 5 + 3 = 8
Third term = Second term + 5 = 8 + 5 = 15 , In which 13 will be correct term while 15 is incorrect term .
Fourth term = Third term + 7 = 13 + 7 = 20
Fifth term = Fourth term + 9 = 20 + 9 = 29
Sixth term = Fifth term + 11 = 29 + 11 = 40

Incorrect no. = 15
