The length of a plot is four times its breath. A playground measuring 1200 square meters occupies one third of the total area of a plot . what is the length of the plot in meters ?

1. 20
2. 30
3. 60

Correct Option: D

Area of the plot = (3 x 1200) m²
= 3600 m²

Let breadth = y meters
Then Length = 4y meters,
Now area = 4y x y = 3600 m²
⇒ y² = 900 m²
⇒ y = 30 m

∴ Length of plot = 4y m
= (4 x 30) m
=120 m
