  1. A solution of sugar syrup has 15 % sugar. Another solution has 5 % sugar. How many liter of the second solution must be added to 20 liters of the first solution to make a solution of 10 % sugar ?

Correct Option: D

Here , Percentage of sugar syrup = 15 %
Percentage of another sugar syrup = 5 %
If 20 litres of the first solution to be added .

Required solution ⇒
15 × 20 + 5 × m
= 10
20 + m

∴ m = 20 litres .
Therefore , 20 litres of the second solution must be added to 20 litres of the first solution to make a solution of 10 % sugar .
