We know that , one dozen = 12 items ( toys )
∵ Five dozen = 5 × 12 = 60 toys
⇒ No. of toys can be kept in 1 box = 60
∴ No. of toys can be kept in 98 boxes = 60 × 98 = 5880
∵ 5880 toys can be lifted by = 1 tempoCorrect Option: B

Thus , 29400 toys can be lifted by = 5 tempos
- Cost of 7000 bricks is Rs. 5740. Cost of luggage to carry the bricks to the building place is Rs. 805. What is the cost at per thousand bricks ?
-

Given that :- Cost of 7000 bricks = Rs. 5740.
Cost of luggage to carry the bricks = Rs. 805
∵ Total cost of 7000 bricks = 5740 + 805 = Rs. 6545⇒ Total cost of 1 brick = Rs. 6545 7000
Correct Option: C
Given that :- Cost of 7000 bricks = Rs. 5740.
Cost of luggage to carry the bricks = Rs. 805
∵ Total cost of 7000 bricks = 5740 + 805 = Rs. 6545⇒ Total cost of 1 brick = Rs. 6545 7000 ∴ Total cost of 1000 bricks = 6545 × 1000 7000
Therefore , Total cost of 1000 bricks = Rs. 935
- 357 mangoes cost Rs. 1517·25, then what is the approximate cost of 49 dozen of mangoes ?
-
View Hint View Answer Discuss in Forum
∵ 1 dozen = 12 items
Here , 49 dozen = 49 × 12 = 588 mangoes
∵ The cost of 357 mangoes = Rs. 1517·25⇒ The cost of 1 mango = 1517·25 = Rs. 4·25 357
∴ The cost of 588 mangoes = 4·25 × 588 = Rs. 2499
Correct Option: A
∵ 1 dozen = 12 items
Here , 49 dozen = 49 × 12 = 588 mangoes
∵ The cost of 357 mangoes = Rs. 1517·25⇒ The cost of 1 mango = 1517·25 = Rs. 4·25 357
∴ The cost of 588 mangoes = 4·25 × 588 = Rs. 2499
Thus , The cost of 588 mangoes ≅ Rs. 2500 (Approximately)

Given that :- Weight of 13 m long rod = 23·4 kg
∴ Weight of 1 m long rod = 23·4 kg 13 ∴ Weight of 6 m long rod = 23·4 × 6 13
Correct Option: B
Given that :- Weight of 13 m long rod = 23·4 kg
∴ Weight of 1 m long rod = 23·4 kg 13 ∴ Weight of 6 m long rod = 23·4 × 6 13
Therefore ,Weight of 6 m long rod = 10·8 kg
- If the cost of 3 dozens mangoes is Rs. 245, what will be the approximate cost of 363 mangoes ?
-
View Hint View Answer Discuss in Forum
We know that , One dozen = 12 items
Three dozen = 3 × 12 = 36 items
∵ The cost of 36 mangoes = Rs. 245∴ The cost of 1 mango = Rs. 245 36 ∴ The cost of 363 mangoes = Rs. 245 × 363 36
Correct Option: C
We know that , One dozen = 12 items
