A shopkeeper gains ₹ 56 on a toy after allowing 23% discount on its marked price. If his gain is 10%, then the marked price of the toy is :

Let marked price of toy be y

∴ S.P. = y ×	77	=	77y

C.P. = y ×	77	×	100	=	7y
	100		110		10

gains = ₹ 56
∴ gains = SP - CP

∴	77y	−	7y	= 56
	100		10

⇒	7y	= 56
	100

⇒ y =	100 × 56	= ₹ 800
