  1. The length and breadth of a rectangular field are in the ratio of 3 : 2. If the perimeter of the field is 80m, its breadth (in metres) is :
    1. 18
    2. 16
    3. 10
    4. 24
Correct Option: B

Using Rule 9,
Let length be 3x and breadth be 2x
∴ Perimeter = 2 (length + breadth)
= 2(3x + 2x) = 10x
According to question, 10x = 80m
⇒ x = 8m
∴ Breadth = 2x = 2× 8 = 16 m
