For the least number of tiles, each tile must be of maximum area.
Side of the largest tile = HCF of 26m and 10m
Side of the largest tile = HCF of 2 × 13m and 2 × 5 m = 2 metres { ∴ HCF of 26m and 10m = 2 }
∴ Area of a tile = 2 × 2 = 4 sq. metres
