As per the given above question , we can say that
From equation Ⅰ. x2 + 10x + 24 = 0
⇒ x2 + 6x + 4x + 24 = 0
⇒ x(x + 6) + 4(x + 6) = 0
⇒ (x + 4)(x + 6) = 0
∴ x = −4, −6
From equation Ⅱ. 4y2 − 17y + 18 = 0
⇒ 4y2 − 9y − 8y + 18 = 0
⇒ 4y(y − 2) − 9(y − 2) = 0
⇒ (4y − 9)(y − 2) = 0

∴ y =
