Direction: In the following questions two equations numbered I and II are given. You have to solve both the equations and give answer
( 1 ) x > y
( 2 ) x ≥ y
( 3 ) x < y
( 4 ) x ≤ y
( 5 ) x = y or the relationship cannot be established.

  1. Ⅰ.500x + √402 = 0
    Ⅱ.360y + ( 200 )1/2 = 0

Correct Option: C

As per the given above equations , we can say that
Ⅰ.
500x + √402 = 0
⇒ √500x = - √402
∴ x = - √( 402/500 ) = - √( 400/500 ) = - 0.9
Ⅱ.360y + ( 200 )1/2 = 0
⇒ √360y = - √200

y = - √( 200 / 360 ) = - 0.74
Clearly, we can see that x < y is required answer .
