Divide ₹ 7,500 among A, B and C such that A’s share to B’s share is in ratio 5 : 2 and B’s share to C’s share is in the ratio 7 : 13. How much will B receive?

A : B = 5 : 2
B : C = 7 : 13
∴ A : B : C
= 5 × 7 : 2 × 7 : 2 × 13
= 35 : 14 : 26
Sum of the ratios
= 35 + 14 + 26 = 75
Total amount = ₹ 7500

∴ B’s share = ₹	14	× 7500 = ₹ 1400
