Rs. 490 is divided among A, B and C such that A’s share

Rs. 490 is divided among A, B and C such that A’s share is half that of B’s and thrice that of C’s. What is C’s share ?

According to the question,

A =	B	= 3C ⇒	A	=	B	=	C
	2		1		2		1/3

∴ A : B : C = 1 : 2 :	1
	3

= 3 : 6 : 1
Sum of the terms of ratio = 3 + 6 + 1 = 10

∴ C’s share = Rs.		1	× 490		= Rs. 49
