If 25 is added to a number it becomes 3 less than thrice of the number. Then number is :

Let the number be N.
According to the question,
N + 25 = 3N – 3
⇒ 3N – N = 25 + 3
⇒ 2N = 28 ⇒ N = 14
Hence required number is 14.
