∴ length = (x + 5) m.

⇒ x (x + 30) – 25 (x + 30) = 0
⇒ (x – 25) (x + 30) = 0
⇒ x = 25, as x cannot be negative.
∴ Length of hall = x + 5 = 25 + 5 = 30 m.
