  1. The perimeter of a triangle is 67 cm. The first side is twice the length of the second side. The third side is 11 cm more than the second side. Find the length of the shortest side of the triangle.
    1. 12 cm.
    2. 14 cm.
    3. 17 cm.
    4. 25 cm
Correct Option: B

Let the second side of triangle = x cm.
∴ First side = 2x cm.
Third side = (x + 11) cm.
∴ Perimeter of triangle = 67 cm.
⇒ 2x + x + x + 11 = 67
⇒ 4x = 67 – 11 = 56

⇒ x =
56
= 14 = smallest side
