Let's eight sequentially number are x, x + 1, x + 2, x + 3, x + 4, x + 5, x + 6 and x + 7.
According to the question [(x + 3) + (x + 4)]/2 = 6
⇒ (2x + 7)/2 = 6 ⇒ 2x + 7 = 12
⇒ 2x = 5 ⇒ x = 5/2

∴ Sum of all eight numbers = x + x + 1 + x + 2 + x + 3 + x + 4 + x + 5 + x + 6 + x + 7
= 8x + 28
= 20 + 28
= 48
