  1. A man buys 3 cows and 18 goats in ₹ 47,200. Instead if he would have bought 8 cows and 3 goats, he had to pay ₹ 53,000 more. Cost of one cow is:
    1. ₹ 10,000
    2. ₹ 11,000
    3. ₹ 12,000
    4. ₹ 13,000
Correct Option: C

Given that :- Cost Price of 1 cow = ₹ p
Cost Price of a goat = ₹ q
3p + 8q = 47200... (i)
⇒ 8p + 3q = 100200... (ii)
By equation (i) × 3 – (ii) × 8,
9p + 24q – 64p – 24q = 141600 – 801600
⇒ 55p = 660000

p =
660000
= ₹ 12000
55
