Alok started a business with Rs. 75000. After 3 months Chandan also joined him with Rs. 60000. If at the end of the year, the profit is Rs. 16000. What is the share of Chandan in the profit ?

Correct Option: A

Ratio between the investment of Alok and Chandan
= (75000 x 12) : (60000 x 9)
= 900000 : 540000
= 90 : 54 = 5 : 3
Total profit = Rs. 16000
∴ Chandan's share = [3/(5 + 3)] x 16000
= Rs. 6000
