  1. A and B entered into a partnership investing Rs. 16000 and Rs. 12000 respectively. After 3 months, A withdrew Rs. 5000 while B invested Rs. 5000 more. After 3 more months. C joins of Rs. 21000. The share of B exceeds that of C, out of a total profit of Rs. 26400 after one year, by ?
    1. Rs. 1200
    2. Rs. 2400
    3. Rs. 3600
    4. Rs. 4800
Correct Option: C

A : B : C = Rs. (16000 x 3 + 11000 x 9) : (12000 x 3 + 17000 x 9) : (21000 x 6)
= 147 : 189 : 126
= 7 : 9 : 6
∴ (B's share) - (C's share) = Rs. [ 26400 x (9/22) - 26400 x (6/22)]
= Rs. (10800 - 7200) = Rs. 3600
