Rs. 700 is dividing among A, B and C so that A receives half as much as B and B half as much as C. Then C's share is ?

1. Rs. 200
2. Rs. 300
3. Rs. 400
4. Rs. 600

Correct Option: C

Let C's share = Rs. N
Then B's share = Rs. N/2
and A's share = Rs. N/4
∴ A : B : C = N/4 : N/2 : N = 1 : 2 : 4
Hence C's share = Rs. 700 x (4/7) = Rs. 400
