  1. A train passes two persons two persons who are walking in the direction opposite to the direction of train at the rate of 10 m/s and 20 m/s respectively in 12 s and 10 s, respectively. Find the length of the train ?
    1. 500 m
    2. 900 m
    3. 400 m
    4. 600 m
Correct Option: D

Let the speed of the train be V
According to the question.
(V + 10) x 12 = (V + 20) x 10
⇒ 6V + 60 = 5V + 100
⇒ x = 100 - 60 = 40 m/s
∴ Length of the train = (V + 10) x 12
= (40 + 10) x 12 = 600 m
