Direction: In each of the question below are Four statements following by Four conclusions numbered I, II, II and IV. You have to take the Four given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance with commonly known facts and then decide which of the given conclusion logically follows from the two statements disregarding commonly known fact.

  1. Statement:
All bulbs are wires. No wire is cable. Some cables are brushes. All brushes are paints.
    Conclusions:
    I. Some paints are cables.
    II. Some wires are bulbs
    III. Some brushes are wires.
    IV. Some cables are bulbs.
    1. None follow
    2. Only I & II follows
    3. Only II follow
    4. Only III follow
    5. Only IV follow
Correct Option: B

Some cables are brushes + All brushes are paints → conversion → Some paints are cables (I) Hence I follows. All bulbs are wires (A) → conversion → Some wires are bulbs (I) Hence II follows. No wire is cable + Some cables are brushes = I + E = O* = Some brushers are not wires Hence III does not follow. All bulbs is cable → conversion → No cable is bulb (E) Hence IV does not follow.
