Direction: In each of the questions below, is given a statement followed by two assumptions numbered I and II. An assumption is something supposed or taken for granted. You have to consider the statement and the assumptions and decide which of the assumption(s) is/are implicit in the statement.

  1. Statement
    Everybody loves reading adventure stories.
    Assumptions
    I. The adventure stories are the only reading materials.
II. Nobody loves reading any other material.
    1. if only Assumption I is implicit
    2. if only Assumption II is implicit
    3. it either I or II is implicit `
    4. it neither I not II is implicit
Correct Option: D

Both the statement have no connection with the given statement. Assumption I becomes disconnected because of the word 'only' while Assumption II is rubbish as the statement does not say anything about reading materials other than adventure stories. Hence, Assumptions I and II both are invalid.
