Direction: In each of the questions below, is given a statesmen followed by three assumptions numbered I, II and III. An assumption is something supposed of taken for granted, you have to consider the statement and the assumptions and decide which of the assumption(s) is/are implicit in the statement.

  1. Statement
"Buy 'Y' TV for better sound quality.", an advertisement.
    Assumptions
    I. 'Y' TV is the only TV in the market
II. 'Y' TV is the costliest.
III. People generally ignore such advertisements.
    1. Only I is implicit
    2. Only II is implicit
    3. Only III is implicit
    4. None is implicit
Correct Option: D

Assumption I is invalid because of the word 'only' Assumption II is has also no connection with the given statement. So, Assumption II also become invalid. In case of III, we can say that an advertisement is given to get desired response and not to be ignored. Hence, Assumption III again is an invalid assumption.
