Suppose, Anil (A) is P years younger to Vivek (V).
Now, A = V – P .......( ⅰ )
A = T + P .......( ⅱ )
On adding eq.( ⅰ ) and ( ⅱ ) , we get
A + A = V – P + T + P
the total of the ages of Vivek and Tarun is 48 years
⇒ 2A = V + T = 48
