The women’s singles final of the 2011 Wimbledon Championships was played between Petra Kvitová of the Czech Republic and Russian Maria Sharapova. Kvitova won the title, beating Sharapova 6–3, 6–4, becoming the first left-handed player to win Wimbledon since Martina Navratilova in 1990.
