The McMohan line is named after Henry McMohan, the foreign secretary of British India to demarcate the line between the Tibetan region of China and India. It was proposed during the 1914 Simla Convention signed between McMohan and Lonchen Satra(Tibetan representative).
This line is the current effective boundary between India and China, but the Chinese government disputes its legal status.
