In PTP type of NC system

1. Control of position and velocity of the tool is essential
2. Control of only position of the tool is sufficient
3. Control of only velocity of the tool is sufficient
4. Neither position nor velocity need be controlled

In a point to point type of NC system, only end position of tool is controlled. Neither path nor velocity of the tool is important.
