October 2nd of every year has been declared by UNO as:

1. International Non-violence day
2. International heritage day
3. International Moral Values day
4. International anti-terrorism day

The International Day of Non-Violence is observed on 2 October, the birthday of Mohandas Gandhi. This day is referred to in India as Gandhi Jayanti.
