percent of qualified candidates from States B = 16%
percent of qualified candidates from States C = 7%
Total percent of qualified candidates from States B and C = (16 + 7)% = 23%
And percent of appeared candidates from States B = 11%
percent of appeared candidates from States C = 8%
Total percent of appeared candidates from States B and C = (11 + 8)% = 19%

Required % =Total percent of qualified candidates from States B and C taken together in out of 9000 x 100%
Total percent of appeared candidates from States B and C taken together in out of 45000

=23% of 9000 x 100%
19% of 45000
