The geomorphic forces working on continents are way more active than the ones acting on the ocean floor. On the ocean floor, mostly agradational forces are working which leads to the formation of new relief features like seamounts, ridges, guyots, etc. Whereas, both agradational, as well as degradational forces, help shape the surafce of the continent. Due to this, ocean relief is more uniform than the continent.
