The Mars Orbiter Mission Team of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) won the 2015 Space Pioneer Award in the Science and Engineering category. India's Mars Orbiter Mission was launched on 5 November 2013 and it reached the Mars orbit on 24 September 2014. The Indian spacecraft has gone into orbit around Mars on the very first attempt and no other country has been able to do this till now.
