The full form of URL is Uniform Resource Locator. It is known as a web address or web resource. It is a unique type of identification for the web address on the internet with HTTP.
It was first designed in 1994 by Tim Berners-Lee.
It is a type of Uniform Resource Identifier(URI), and also used for file transfer(ftp), database access (JDBC) and other applications.
URL contains information such as scheme name or protocol, colon, two slashes, the host also called a domain name, a colon followed by a port number and full path of the resource.
URL can be typed annually on the webpage, if URL does not contain a valid server or URL is wrong then an error occurred on the webpage, it displays server not found or "404 error".
