The full form of RAC is Reservation Against Cancellation.
It is a type of ticket sold by the Indian railway for travel to the passenger. it is not a confirmed ticket although it ensures certainty of travel, it does not guarantee a berth.
A passenger can only travel with this ticket means the passenger can board the train and occupy the seat allowed, instead of a sleeping berth at night.
IN RAC ticket one birth is allotted to two passengers, they have to share the seat.
RAC ticket can get confirmed If there is any last-minute cancellation or any quota remain unsold.
As per the IRCTC rule, a passenger can cancel an online RAC ticket up to 30 minutes before the departure of the train. after that, no refund will be given.
As per the IRCTC rule, if the chart has been prepared then passengers have to fill online TDR form for a refund.
