                                        The full form of ITI is Industrial Training Institute. It was established in 1950 to gives training and certification in engineering and non-engineering technical courses. It is post-secondary schools in India which are constituted under Directorate General of Training (DGT), Ministry of Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship. It provides Technical training and enhances the skills of the student in a particular trade.

 Objective
 To provide technical manpower to the fast industrial sector of the rapidly growing economy.
 
 Eligibility Criteria to get admission in ITI
 The Candidate should have passed 10th or 12th  standard from a recognized board.
 The candidate age must be between 14 to 45 years at the time of admission.
 
 Training  Duration
 The Training duration is six months to two years depending upon the specialties. After completing the Training, candidates write the All India Trade Test (AITT) and Successful candidates receive the National Trade Certificate.
 
 Career after ITI courses
 After completing the ITI course in engineering and non- engineering trade, candidates have many opportunities in state government, central government, and private sector jobs.
