                                        The full form of MMR is Measles Mumps and Rubella. MMR is a vaccine that gives against Measles, Mumps, and Rubella. This vaccine is mixture of three live attenuated viruses. It was first developed by Maurice Hilleman in the 1960s. The first dose of vaccine is normally given at the age of 9 to 15 months, second dose given at the age of 4 to 6 years. After two-dose 97% of children protected against measles, 88% against mumps, and approximately  97% against rubella.
 
 The MMR vaccine protects against the following disease
 
  Measles
 It is a viral infection that spreads through the air by respiratory droplets. The symptoms are cough, runny nose, inflamed eyes, sore throat, fever, and rash.
 
  Mumps
 Mumps is a viral infection that affects the salivary gland, it can easily transfer to another person through saliva, nasal secretions, and physical contact.  The symptoms are swollen, painful salivary glands, fever, headache, and loss of appetite.
 
  Rubella
 It is a contagious viral infection, This infection is spread through the saliva of the infected person or through the respiratory droplets. The symptoms is fever, headache, etc, and it will take 2 to 3 weeks to appear after the exposure.
 It is also called German measles.
