The full form of DVC is Damodar Valley Corporation. It is a government organization under the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India which operates in the Damodar River area of West Bengal and Jharkhand in India. DVC operates both hydel and thermal power stations. It is founded on 7 July 1948 and headquartered in Kolkata West Bengal, India.
