What is the full form of AMIE?

The full form of AMIE is Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers. It is a professional engineering certification course that is given by the Institution of Engineer India Limited (IEIL) Kolkata. This course is designed for those who are working in the engineering field and unable to pursue a regular degree from college. It is equivalent to a B.tech degree.
AMIE exams divided into two sections -A and B. Candidates have to clear section-A exam first then they are eligible for section -B exam. Section-A is same for all the candidates, In Section-B exam candidate supposed to choose a particular branch of engineering.
After passing in 5 subjects of Section-B exam with a minimum C grade candidates are eligible for project and laboratory work.
AMIE has 65 examination centre in India and 5 examination centre in overseas(Kathmandu, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Doha and Kuwait).
