The full form of RRB is Railway Recruitment Board. At first, it was known as 'Railway Service Commission' yet in January 1985 it was renamed as Railway Recruitment Board. It is an organization under the government of India which involve in the recruitment and selection process of new railway staff. The headquarter of RRB is in New Delhi and currently, 21 railway recurrent boards are working in different parts of India. It conducts exams for non-technical posts(group C) like Commercial apprentice, Goods guard, Traffic Assistant, Assistant Station Master, etc.
Objectives
Make a Policy for the recruitment process.
To plan and monitor all the activities of the Railway Recruitment Board.
To evaluate the performance of RRB's and advise them.
Role of Railway Recruitment Board
Railway recruitment board is responsible for the recruitment of a candidate in the various railway departments.
Issue notification for the vacant position.
Conduct exams every year and verify the selected candidates.
Select candidates through the direct interview for a few posts.
