CPU or 'Central Processing Unit' is the brain of any computer. CPU has three major components namely 'Control Unit', 'Memory Unit' and 'ALU'(Arithmetic and Logic Unit).

The ALU portion of CPU is responsible for all the arithmetic and logic calculations.
