The Gupta king, Chandragupta II had another name Devagupta. Chandragupta II was the third, and most significant of the Gupta kings (C.375 - C.415). To strengthen his southern flank, he made marriage arrangements for his daughters with southern dynasties. In different inscription, Chandragupta II also named as Devasri and Devaraja in various inscriptions.
