These trains are considered to be a more affordable and economical version of Shatabdi trains which are one of the most premium trains of Indian Railways. India's first Jan Shatabdi Express between Mumbai-Goa was commenced on April 16, 2002. It runs between Dadar station(Mumbai) and Madgaon station(Goa).
